Flour Power is a custom order baker, not a storefront. That means there are no pre-made items waiting in a display case. When you place an order, we start from the beginning: your theme, your flavors, your colors. With over 33 years of experience in specialized cake design and a professionally licensed operation since 2015, we have the skill to handle everything from a simple 9-inch round cake to a fully sculpted 3D themed centerpiece. Our custom cake orders cover a wide range of occasions and product types. Milestone birthdays, weddings, corporate events, graduations, holidays: we handle them all. Our catalog includes 3D themed cakes, hand-painted and screen-printed logo cookies, cupcakes (including filled varieties like raspberry), cake pops, cheesecakes, brownies, lemon squares, and signature pies like our Bourbon Chocolate Pecan and Brown Sugar Pumpkin. We also offer gluten-free options such as our gluten-free carrot cake and classic red velvet with cream cheese icing. Pricing starts at $65 for a 9-inch cake, $40 per dozen for cookies, cupcakes, or cake pops, and $30 for standard pies. Edible imagery sheets add $17 to $25 per sheet to cookie orders.

The "design your own cake" process at Flour Power is as personal as the finished product. We match colors to your school branding, recreate a logo in edible imagery, or sculpt a 3D figure that stops a room. Our hand-painted edible art and custom texturing capabilities create a level of detail that standard bakeries simply cannot match. Weddings are handled on a selective, boutique basis, limited to 3 to 4 per year, so each couple gets the full attention their day deserves. For milestone events, corporate gifts, or seasonal orders, the same care applies. No order is treated as a line item here.

We deliver across the Seven Cities of the Tidewater region: Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, and Newport News. Delivery is free for orders of five or more items. Williamsburg and areas across the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel are also serviceable; just note that the additional travel is factored into logistics.   • How far in advance do I need to place a custom cake order?

    Because every item at Flour Power is made specifically for your order, lead time matters. For standard items like cupcakes, cookies, or pies, a few days to a week of notice is generally a good starting point. For more complex work like 3D themed cakes or wedding cakes, more time is needed to plan the design, source any specialty materials, and schedule production. The best step is to fill out a form as early as possible so we can confirm availability and talk through your timeline.

  • What is the minimum order size, and is there a delivery fee?

    There is no strict minimum order size for custom baked goods. Delivery is free for orders of five or more items. For smaller orders, a delivery fee applies. If you are located outside the core Seven Cities, such as Williamsburg or areas that require crossing the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, that additional travel is factored into the delivery logistics.   • Can you match my event colors or reproduce a company logo on cookies or a cake?

    Yes, this is one of the specialties at Flour Power. We offer custom color matching for school colors, brand palettes, and event themes across cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. For logo reproduction, we use hand-painted icing and screen-printed edible imagery sheets. Edible imagery adds $17 to $25 per sheet to a cookie dozen order, depending on the design. If you have a brand file or color reference, share it when you fill out your order form and we will work from there.

  • Do you offer gluten-free or specialty diet options?

    We do offer select gluten-free options, including a gluten-free carrot cake. That said, Flour Power is straightforward about the limits of specialty diet baking. Fully vegan recipes, for example, can produce results that do not meet our quality standard, so we are selective about what we commit to. If you have a dietary requirement, include it in your order inquiry and we will give you an honest answer about what we can do well for your specific request.

  • Can Flour Power handle large volume orders for corporate events or the holidays?

    Absolutely. High-volume production is a core part of what we do. During Thanksgiving, for example, we produce between 200 and 300 pies, including our signature Bourbon Chocolate Pecan and Brown Sugar Pumpkin varieties. For corporate clients, we regularly handle large batches of logo cookies, branded treats, and catered lunch box deliveries.     Flour Power handles weddings on a boutique, selective basis, limited to 3 to 4 per year. Keeping the volume low means each couple gets focused attention rather than being one of dozens of orders in a queue. The process starts with a form inquiry where you share your date, vision, and any design references. From there, we have a conversation to make sure the creative direction is a good fit. If it is, we move forward. If for any reason it is not the right match, we will be upfront about that too.
